Artist Statement

With an interest in social history my artworks are frequently framed by political and societal issues both historical and contemporary. Although I also draw on personal experiences. The materials I utilise often convey messages that are indexically linked to the subject matter, albeit in an abstract manner.

My multi-disciplinary creative practice is research led and process driven.   Rather than being wed to any one medium, exploration and experimentation guides my artistic practice.

The outcome of my artworks are not predetermined; rather, they emerge through research, reflection, and material investigation.  The twists and turns on unchartered paths are what excites me.
